This week contracts for next year go live! After some back and forth, up and down, and side to side, I have decided to stay. I cant be sure of when I really decided to stay or even why I decided to stay. Just one day it all was clear. I wanted to continue to explore the world of Korea.
The school itself has done things that have made me want to pull out my hair…several times in fact. I have had a few destructive relationships and a lot of growing up. When I look back at who I was when I came to Korea I discover that I have grown into myself. I have grown as a world traveler and a teacher. I have also grown immensely in my Faith. I want to continue to grow. So why not stay for at least another year 🙂
So now that I have decided to stay. I wouldn’t be part of my family if I didn’t think about getting bored and wanting change. I also wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t want a challenge. With all that said. I have requested to take the position of Secondary History teacher! That means having about 5 different classes, with 5 different levels. I also get to build my own curriculum! YAY! So in other words I am going to spend a lot of time in my classroom next year. I will be getting an unbeatable experience.
Now don’t worry about me. I will be sure to have some down time as well. I also have a few friends who will be sure to bring me out of my work mode.
I am excited to continue to change the way I look at things. To see what things I have been missing.
