It Rains On My Parade — Travel Reflection

Reflecting back on my short travels around Korea, I have come to the conclusion that whenever I go on a trip, it rains. I don’t mean a nice light drizzle. I mean a downpour. Along with the rain there is wind and a lot of it.

The unexpected happens when you travel. Things just happen…

The train to Busan
The train to Busan

Luckily, the train to Busan was easy. We were early and actually had time for breakfast. However, the train from Busan to Seoul was not really uneventful. In fact we almost missed our train. The Busan subway was very slow going, so we decided to get off the subway (cause we knew we were running late) and get a taxi. If it wasn’t for our taxi driver driving like crazy!! we would have missed our return train.

When I was in Busan I was excited about going to the art museum. It took awhile trying to find it. (Notice the ground is wet…yep it rained.) Once we found it we explored the grounds trying to find the entrance. It was as though a zombie apocalypse  happened. There was no one around. When we found the doors we saw that the museum was closed on Mondays.

On a trip to Jeju, it rained and rained and rained some more. Have you ever tried to balance a camera, camera bag, and an umbrella? It isn’t easy.

2014-04-19 11_Fotor      Sometimes you discover a black sand beach. Sometimes you have blisters all over your feet (that you have been hiking on for days)…And sometimes it hurts to walk in sand and salt. But it was still Awesome!

You may go through difficult times when traveling. There are still moments when it is all worth it!

A wonderful sunset.
